Late night last night, but people got a bit of sleep and were up and ready for the bus pick up at 9:15.

We drove up to Guizaros to visit Cimay and see the ministry there.  This is the first location that our church worked at when we began our partnership here in Costa Rica.  After a tour of the property the children came for lunch, and we ate along with them.  We had a quick walk around the neighbourhood and then we had to be on our way.

We stopped at Walmart to pick up a few supplies, and then hit the road over the mountain pass to Cariari.

Everyone got checked in to the hotel and then we went for a team supper.  After that we had a brief team meeting and freed everyone up to head to bed (some tired people), or hang out and visit, play games, or watch the Bandits game.

Here are a few visual highlights from our day.  Thanks for praying.

Thanks for praying.  All the flights and trips through customs and immigration went really well yesterday.

All 18 people are here in San Jose catching a few short hours of sleep at the hotel.

This morning we are off to visit ministry friends in San Jose, and then drive out to Cariari for our week long stay there.

But first, pray!

Welcome to the Brooks Alliance Church Costa Rica Team for 2025!

We hope you can follow along here for updates throughout the trip.

And we certainly hope that you will take some time to pray for a few things as you track with us:

1) Pray for the team that is going.  Pray for health and safety, and that God would do His formative work in each of our lives.  Pray that we would be on the lookout for ways we can serve and bless others.

2) Pray for our partners on the ground in Costa Rica - the Jimenez family.  Pray that we would be a blessing and encouragement to each of them, and that God would give them all the health, energy and strength that they need in order to host us.  Pray also that God would give them vision for the things He wants to do in their community.

3) And pray for the community of La Lidia, where we will spend the bulk of our time serving.  Pray that God's Kingdom would come there in greater ways over the coming month.

Departure date is set for Thursday, February 27 - it's coming quickly.  Return date is Saturday, March 8.

Thank you for praying.
